Pharmacy Pressures Survey 2025: Please share your views

Community Pharmacy England has launched its fourth annual Pressures Survey, and Community Pharmacy Devon is asking pharmacy owners and staff to share their views.

This important annual survey provides crucial evidence to monitor and quantify the intolerable challenges facing the community pharmacy sector. Results from the survey are used to raise awareness in the national media and Parliament, and to demonstrate the impact of the crisis in community pharmacy. The data may also be used by Community Pharmacy Devon to respond to media queries and in conversations with local MPs. We are focused on supporting national efforts to raise awareness of critical pressures facing community pharmacy. Taking part in the Pressures Survey will help to support this.

Survey Information

The survey consists of two separate surveys; one for pharmacy business owners/head office representatives and the other specifically for pharmacy teams. Expected to take around 10–15 minutes to complete, both surveys will remain open until 23:59 on 28th February 2025.

For more information and to complete either of two separate surveys, visit the Community Pharmacy England website.

Community Pharmacy England has asked us to extend their thanks for your continued support in completing these surveys during this busy time. They have confirmed that the data collected will be used directly in discussions with policymakers as they advocate for  support and sustained core investment for community pharmacies.

Recognition of Excellence Awards 2025 - Now Open for Entries

The Recognition of Excellence (RoE) Awards return for its 12th year, continuing to champion the work of community pharmacy staff across the UK. Communications International Group (CIG) is delighted to announce that the RoE Awards are now open for entries. Pharmacy teams from across the UK are encouraged to nominate themselves or colleagues before the closing date of 4th April 2025 here.

As the only UK awards exclusively for community pharmacy support staff, the RoE Awards honour dedicated employees who go the extra mile to support their customers, colleagues and communities. They could be medicines counter assistants, delivery drivers, dispensing assistants, health champions, pharmacy technicians, ACPTs, team leaders, pharmacy managers or hold any other patient-facing role within the community pharmacy support team.

Finalists in all categories will be invited to enjoy a lunch and ceremony where prizes will be awarded at the House of Lords in London on 13th June 2025.

Closure of Devon Wellbeing Hub

The Devon Wellbeing Hub will no longer be taking new referrals (as of 31st January). The service will honour its commitments to staff who are already receiving support.

The Hub launched in March 2021 as one of 40 national NHS mental health and wellbeing hubs, offering confidential support for healthcare, social care and police staff.

Despite this change, there is a range of national and local wellbeing resources available to health care, social care and police staff. Primary care teams can access the Vivup employee assistance programme - more details about how to access the service are here.
