Pharmacy First Bundling Requirement - Don't miss out on June threshold payments for Pharmacy First

The Pharmacy First bundling requirement comes in on 1st June 2025 and the deadline for registering for the three services (Pharmacy First, Pharmacy Contraception Service and the Hypertension Case-Finding Service) on the Manage Your Service (MYS) portal is 11.59pm on Saturday 31st May 2025. There will also be the introduction of the intermediary band which will see contractors receive ÂŁ500 if they achieve 20-29 pharmacy first consultations.

If pharmacy owners have not registered by this date/time for the three services, they will not be entitled to the June monthly payment for Pharmacy First even if they meet the minimum number of Clinical pathway consultations in June.

Please see here a list of FAQs around the Pharmacy First bundling deadline.

This is also a good time to be ensuring that you have completed the CPPE Emergency contraception learning and e-assessment as part of the PQS.

Pharmacists who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to apply for independent prescribing courses at a variety of universities across England:

  1. Community pharmacists (including locum pharmacists); Pharmacists employed in General Practice (who are not eligible for, or enrolled on, the Primary Care Pharmacy Education Programme (PCPEP) and those who are working to provide primary care services (e.g. working in primary care) who are not employed in ARRS roles); and Health and Justice pharmacists
  2. Pharmacists enrolled on CPPE’s Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (PCPEP) and who meet the PCPEP criteria to enrol on an independent prescribing course
  3. Pharmacists working in an NHS Hospital Trust or Mental Health Trust (NHS managed sector); pharmacists working in an integrated care board (ICB), previously CCG pharmacists.

Volunteers' Week: Monday 2nd June to Sunday 8th June 2025

The NHS is supported by around 2 million volunteers every year and most NHS organisations celebrate their contribution during National Volunteers' Week. Volunteers’ Week is an annual UK-wide campaign that takes place during the first week of June. It is a time to celebrate and recognise the incredible contributions made by volunteers across the country.

About the Campaign

Launched in 1984, Volunteers’ Week has been running for over 40 years. It serves as a platform for organisations and communities to express gratitude to both current and past volunteers for their invaluable time, energy, and commitment. A Milestone Year Now in its 40th year, the campaign has undergone a rebrand to introduce a new, vibrant identity aimed at inspiring future engagement and continuing to spotlight the impact of volunteering across the UK.

The Power of Unity and Diversity

The campaign showcases the diversity of volunteer work, celebrating efforts from national charities to grassroots groups. Volunteers’ Week fosters stronger connections across different communities and sectors, uniting people through a shared spirit of giving back.

Get Involved

This year’s celebration will take place from Monday 2nd to Sunday 8th June 2025. Whether you are a volunteer, an organisation, or someone considering getting involved, this week is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the power of volunteering.
