Contraception and Sexual Health Update Training Sessions

There are two separate Contraception/Sexual Health Update training sessions now available to book in advance. They both cover EHC, Chlamydia Screening, Progesterone only pill (POP), Combined oral contraception (COCP) & consulting with Young People.

2025/26 Pharmacy Quality Scheme Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Audit: reminder 

Contractors participating in the 2025/26 Pharmacy Quality Scheme are reminded they have until 3 February 2026 to begin the Pharmacy Quality Scheme (PQS) Antimicrobial Stewardship – Pharmacy First consultations - Clinical Audit. Guidance is available to support completion. Anonymised data captured during the audit should be submitted using the online data collection tool by 31 March 2026. The tool can be accessed via the NHSBSA Manage your service (MYS) portal. 

 

Reminder: promote Pharmacy First this February 02 – 22 February 2026  

As part of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) 2025/26 pharmacy contractors are required to take part in two national health campaigns promoting the Pharmacy First service to the public. 

The second mandatory national campaign runs from 02 - 22 February 2026.   Contractors can meet the requirements of the campaign through any of the following activities: 

·         displaying posters, leaflets or other promotional materials at the pharmacy. 

·         information on your pharmacy’s website. 

·         information posted your pharmacy’s social media channels; and 

·         including information in emails or SMS sent to patients. 

Updated digital materials are available for use on the DHSC Campaign Resource Centre 

Please note this is a mandatory campaign and failure to participate may result in sanctions in relation to a breach of the terms of service under NHS Pharmaceutical Regulations 2013, Schedule 4, Part 2, Para .18 of the Terms of Service of NHS Pharmacists. 

 

Improving Parkinson's Care 

The Foundation Programme has been developed for health and care professionals as part of their Excellence Network's commitment to improving Parkinson's care across the UK.
 
The programme consists of 8 courses, designed to introduce different aspects of the condition and its management. This suite of 8 free, online courses will develop your knowledge, understanding, and confidence to improve services and support for people living with Parkinson’s.  Completing all 8 will give a broad overview of Parkinson's, giving you the skills to reflect on, adapt and enhance your practice to better support those living with the condition.
