Exciting News – Community Pharmacy PCN Integration Leads

The NHS South-West Collaborative Commissioning Board is supporting the continuation of the Community Pharmacy PCN Leads over the next year.

Primary Care Networks (PCNs) are a key part of the NHS Long Term Plan, with all general practices being required to be in a network. An essential component of primary care is Community Pharmacy.  This role is designed to support closer working between Community Pharmacy and the local health and care system to provide better patient care. We recognise that existing and former Pharmacy PCN Leads have played a critical role in shaping the engagement between community pharmacy and PCNs and we hope to build on this.

We are seeking new community pharmacy leads in several PCN localities.  Registered AND non-registered pharmacy professionals can submit an expression of interest and will be required to commit to the initiative for up to 10 days over the next few months until the end of March 2024, during which funding, training, and guidance will be provided.

Further details about the role can be found here; as well as a video from an existing lead and an Expression of Interest form to complete and return to the Devon LPC by Monday 14th August 2023.

You can view a list of the PCNs in which there are current vacancies here and you will see which PCN your pharmacy is aligned to.

If you have any questions about the role or wish to discuss changing the PCN your pharmacy is aligned to, please email admin@devon.communitypharmacy.org.uk
