This correspondence was sent to all Contract Leads for Pharmacy Businesses currently engaged in the Pharmacy First Service in Devon
Dear Colleague,
This is an important update regarding the Pharmacy First Service, currently in operation in Devon.
Our records indicate one or more branches of your pharmacy business are currently accredited for and/ or delivering this service.
The service has recently been reviewed and there are a number of changes to the Pharmacy First Service, effective from the 1st of April 2023.

ACTION: Please kindly ensure the relevant pharmacy team/s in your pharmacy business are aware of this update. The changes to the service will also be detailed in a communication to pharmacy teams via the PharmOutcomes platform and can be found on the NHS Devon Pharmacy First webpage.
Please note, due to the changes to the Pharmacy First service for uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections (PGD MAS 02 Nitrofurantoin) effective 1st April 2023, we kindly request pharmacy teams to ensure all provisions of the current uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections PGD service completed on or before Friday 31st March 2023 are entered and submitted on the PharmOutcomes platform by end of day on Friday 31st March 2023.
All changes have been discussed with Devon LPC.
