Online
Together Devon, in conjunction with Community Pharmacy Devon, are delighted to deliver the annual community pharmacy substance use training evening on 11th November 2026.
This year we will be focussing of the effects of ketamine and what you can do in the pharmacy to support people using ketamine and recognising symptoms of ketamine use. Focussing on urological effects, the session will be delivered by Rebecca Kellett, Senior Urology Nurse Specialist at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Danny Crowley from the Hepatitis C Trust will then discuss the impact of stigma on people who use drugs and what we can do in community pharmacies to recognise and manage this and provide empathetic care to this cohort of people.
Graham Parsons (Director of Pharmacy, Waythrough) and Sammy Boothby (Regional Lead Pharmacy Technician, Waythrough) will then cover some topical areas specific to medicines optimisation in the community pharmacy.
The session will also allow community pharmacy colleagues to ask questions to support their work.
We look forward to meeting you all on 11th November 2026.
