2026/27 Children’s Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Service Specifications published for general practice and community pharmacy

The children’s seasonal influenza vaccination service specifications for 2026/27 have now been published.
It has been agreed to extend and expand the children’s flu vaccination pilot in 2026/27, and the childhood flu advanced service (AS) specification is available here. Under the AS the cohorts now eligible for an influenza vaccination are children aged:
- 2 to 3 years old (from 1 October)
- 2 years to 17 years in a clinical at risk group (from 1 October)
- school aged children (from 1 December)
For 2026/27, the Item of Service fee will be £10.06.
If pharmacy contractors wish to provide this service, they must register on MYS from 10 June and ideally by 31 August.
