Let’s Talk Neighbourhood Health Engagement Programme

NHS Devon has launched its Let’s Talk Neighbourhood Health engagement programme, giving residents, patients, carers, health and care staff, and community organisations the opportunity to help shape the future of local health and care services.
Building on feedback gathered through the Devon 10 Year Plan engagement, the programme aims to understand what matters most to people and how services can work better together at a neighbourhood level. The vision is for GPs, community services, mental health teams, social care, voluntary organisations and other local partners to provide more joined-up support closer to home, helping people stay healthier for longer and access care more easily within their communities.
There are several ways to get involved, including completing the Neighbourhood Health Survey, attending one of the engagement events taking place across Devon, joining local feedback groups or becoming a member of the new Devon People Panel.
The anonymous 15-minute survey is open until 2 October 2026 and explores people’s experiences of health and care services, what works well, and what could be improved in the future. Support is available for anyone who would prefer to complete the survey by telephone via Healthwatch.
A series of Neighbourhood Health Engagement Days will also be held in Plymouth, Tavistock, Paignton, Exeter and Barnstaple throughout September and October. These events will bring together local people, NHS staff and community organisations to discuss priorities and explore how services can be better coordinated around the needs of local communities.
Every voice matters. By sharing your experiences and ideas, you can help shape future health and care services across Devon.
Get involved: Complete the Neighbourhood Health Survey or book a place at one of the engagement events via the NHS Devon website.
