CRUK Talk Cancer Training is still available to sign up to for June and July and ideal for your HLP Health Champions.

Is the training suitable for me?

If you’re able to promote health and wellbeing in your community, the Talk Cancer training can help you to make your conversations more impactful. This training is for anyone who is part of a VCSE organisation which serves the population of Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.  Registrations are not limited per organisation.

Attend either online or in person for training delivered by CRUK to improve confidence in holding cancer conversations.

How can Talk Cancer benefit me?

Delivered by nurse trainers, the interactive workshop will equip and empower you to raise cancer awareness in your community. It will help you by:

  • Increasing your knowledge of key messages around reducing your risk of cancer, the national cancer screening programmes, and spotting cancer early.
  • Building your confidence to talk to the public about cancer.
  • Helping you to encourage people to make healthy changes, access local services and visit their GP promptly with any concerns.
  • Upskilling you to present a Cancer Research UK scripted cancer awareness presentation and manage related questions and discussion.

 How do I sign up?

For the online training please register here.

For in person training please register here

Please only register for one type of session as the training is the same but one is delivered online and one is delivered in person.
